White Gold was released in 2010 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the arrival of Indians in South Africa. The movie won two Simon Sabela Awards in 2015, one for Best Use Of KwaZulu-Natal As A Location and the second for Best Feature Film Shoot in KwaZulu-Natal. As well as The Best Cinematography for the 4th Metro Film Awards.
