In this episode we visit one of the four important pilgrimage spots in Buddhism. Sarnath is the birth place of the Buddhist Sangha.
We found out more about the Upanayana ceremony in Umzinto. More commonly known as the Sacred string ceremony it marks the coming of age of a teenage boy in hinduism.
Sadhana took a journey on the north coast of KZN to Suththa Sanmurka Sangum in Richards Bay, where the Saivism flag is still kept flying high.

This week on we observe Buddha Purnimah with a visit to Sarnath in India, on of the 4 sacred spots in Buddhism. We also attend the Genoi or sacred thread ceremony of Tusshar Singh in Umzinto on the south coast of KZN. This is one of the prescibed rituals in Hinduism when a boy enters into adolesence. We visit the Suttha Sanmarga Sangum in Richardbay to learn more about their history and way of worship. Dharam Maharaj brings the show to a close with a divine rendition to Lord Ram.
